GLP

Created to study interaction between man and terrestrial environment , the Global Land Project (GLP) is a joint research agenda of International Geosphere–Biosphere Programme (IGBP), which has a regional Office at INPE, and International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (IHDP).

From January of 2012, INPE will host the IPO, currently based in Denmark. With this move, the new IPO will be located both in a country of the highest importance and interest for land-change research, as well as in an emerging major player in the global science community. This will also be the first IPO of any of the projects of the Global Environmental Change Pogrammes to be located in a country of the global south.
