The GLP’s Re-designed Website is Now Online

Wednesday, October 03, 2012

The re-designed website of the Global Land Project (GLP), whose international office is based at the National Institute for Space Research (Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais – INPE), is now online at www.globallandproject.org. The website was re-structured with the goal to create a more interactive and updated place to communicate about science and issues related to GLP, which is aimed at studying the relation between humans and land to better understand global change.

It is the one of the results in an almost year-long effort to build a web-based communication strategy that allows enhancing the sharing of news and knowledge between all members of land science community. “One of our challenges as an international project office is to gather people, interests, and results to bridge the gap between different groups, research, policy and practice through communication. And that involves the creation of new channels to share the latest research findings, future activities and other information relevant to all GLP community,” says Camille Nolasco, GLP officer.

As part of this initiative it was also created a Facebook account that can expand GLP’s outreach including more updates of new publications, events and news. Visit GLP Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Global-Land-Project/502660823078273
